To build the hype leading up to the event, we sent a group of LA-based lifestyle influencers personalized invites to grab their bestie and celebrate with us—engineered to be shared on social, encouraging their followers to join in on the fun.

We generated buzz by teasing the event on Apple TV, KCRW, and all the partner locations’ organic social channels, prompting LA besties to come celebrate National Best Friends Day. This content had a combined reach of over 5 million unique impressions.

Back for S2 – just like riding a bike

To launch Season 2, we rolled out a pop-up experience at The Grove where fans got to snap a pic with their bestie on a tandem bike, Will-and-Sylvia style. To sweeten the scene, we served up free scoops of “Will and Sylvia’s Favorite Flavors,” a custom ice cream pairing inspired by the show’s main duo.

The fun rolled right into a special Today at Apple session at the Grove with exclusive clips from S2 and some very special friends: the stars of Platonic! To a rapt audience, they talked about friendship, comedy, and the art of keeping things platonic(ish) – getting everyone primed to binge the show.
