To make the UK’s biggest fee free mortgage broker unforgettable, we created a bold relaunch campaign, with a little help from a pink puppet.
A rebrand to remember
L&C are the UK’s biggest fee free mortgage broker. But they were hiding in plain sight. Even their most satisfied customers sometimes struggled to recall them.
Their new strategy to be remembered as ‘The UK’s favourite fee free mortgage partner’ was locked and loaded. Now they needed a creative production partner to strike the spark.

A little helper on your shoulder
To front the new-look L&C we created Lucy - a pink puppet who represents their expert team, popping up whenever people need help with their mortgage.
To transform her from concept to camera-ready character, we worked with renowned puppet-maker Oliver Smart. From her pantone-perfect pink to her signature chimney hairstyle, every element was hand-crafted to bless Lucy with unforgettable charm.
A crafted campaign
In keeping with Lucy’s handmade artistry, the campaign had the true human touch. Everything was captured in-camera using traditional puppetry techniques.
We created a suite of films and a huge toolkit of still and motion assets to bring her to life across L&C’s social and digital comms mix, leading a new chapter for the brand that showed early indications of 78% preference against competitors.
