Adobe Sundance Match Cut
Uniting filmmakers at Sundance under a single technique: The match cut.
Made to Create, Powered to Evolve
Every year, Sundance brings together the world's most innovative filmmakers and storytellers. At the heart of it all is Adobe House—a creative hub where artists, technology, and ideas come together to shape what's next.
Partnering with the Adobe House at Sundance, we created a custom Sundance spot and transformed it into an interactive video booth showcasing how a personalized capture can evolve into endless creative possibilities. Guests registered on their phones, selecting scenes and genres to generate in Firefly before stepping inside, where a simple QR scan triggered their capture sequence.

Step Into the Story
Inside the booth, festivalgoers stepped into their chosen worlds, recording a series of short clips that placed them directly into cinematic moments. Each contribution expanded the narrative, demonstrating how a single idea can evolve infinitely. Adobe’s tools sat at the center of every creative decision, from generating scenes to shaping the final output.

Real Editors. Real Time.
The edit happened live, with editors working with Premiere in real time to mask guests into their Firefly-generated environments. Then they composited each scene, and cut everything together with music. Guests watched their films come to life before being uploaded to Frame.io and delivered instantly, turning their moment at Sundance into a finished shareable piece ready for the silver screen.
